Resources for Mechanics Minor

There is no shortage of questions and notes to fully get to grips with the material. The following are all excellent resources for your Mechanics Minor revision.

Number 1 - Mech Minor Knowledge

I have created a short version of The Knowledge for Mech Minor: The Knowledge and Answers

Number 2 - Current Specification Past Papers

There are TWENTY current specification MEI past papers because the "Mech a" papers have the exact same spec as the Mech Minor papers.You can find them in This Google Drive.

Before the real thing you should have done all of these, but for now focus on working through the "Mech a" papers. Save the others for nearer the time.

Number 3 - Integral Topic Tests

Most of the Integral resources are readily available to you, but I have put the Topic Tests with the solutions in the Classwork section of Teams. These are a good challenge and allow you to really attack specific topics.

Number 4 - Textbook Notes and Questions

In your OneNote class worksheets sections I have distributed round full textbook notes, questions and answers for each topic except for dimensional analysis

Number 5 - Video examples

TLMaths has excellent videos on every topic from Mech Minor HERE. I also have a small number of Mech Minor videos on my channel HERE.

This website does not cover every topic, but does have practice past paper questions and mark schemes on coefficient of restitution, dimensional analysis, and work, energy and power. You should click on the "OCR MEI Optional Units" option.

Number 8 - Madas Maths

As usual, MadasMaths has a tonne of questions for several topics and each sheet has full worked solutions.
