Need to Know facts
- The Knowledge is a list of results that you need to know off by heart - either because you are not given them in the formula booklet or because you need to have them at your fingertips to recognise them. The best way to learn these is by writing down from memory on the document as much as you can using The Knowledge Answers to check.
Topic Specific Resources
If you know you have some weak topics then you should target these first, rather than jumping straight into full past papers.
- If you want to practice past paper questions on a specific topic then ALevelMathsRevision.com is a great website - they have resources for both Single Maths and Further Maths that are selected to be suitable for the new specification. Each sheet has accompanying mark scheme solutions.
- Integral Maths is an obvious option and has not only worksheets with full solutions but also video explanations to help recap topics that are causing more problems.
- The Edexcel Textbooks have been uploaded in pdf form by someone on Reddit to this Google Drive. The Single Maths books have a 98% overlap with our specification. The Further Maths books don't match as perfectly but will still be great for extra questions on some topics.
- MadAsMaths - the "Maths Booklets" section has excellent, challenging topic-specific questions with full written solutions. It can be a little difficult to navigate so go here for integration, here for trigonometry, and here for other Single Pure topics. For Futher Pure topics you can find sheets on complex numbers, roots of polynomials and special sums here.
- Physics and Maths Tutor also has topic specific pages with cheat sheets as well as selected questions.

The following are big mixes for Further Pure and for Stats. Both have answers at the end.
Past Paper Practice
Once you feel relatively confident with each topic you need to get used to working through whole papers - and the more of this you can do in timed exam conditions the better!
The MEI papers from the current specification are the best source of practice, and we have released some papers for you to use - you will be able to find others but you should save these for next year before the real thing. The papers we have released are below. You have been set the 2018 and 2019 Papers 1 and 2 over half term but may not have seen the others - you should work through as many of these as possible.

For more past paper practice you can use papers from the old MEI specification papers from the old MEI specification â the papers match up as follows:
- For Single Pure - use C1,C2,C3,C4 - C2 is best for sequences and series, C3 for calculus, C4 for partial fractions and harmonic form.
- For Further Pure - FP1 papers are good but ignore curve sketching questions and any proof by induction for divisibility.
- For Statistics - use S1 for most things, but you will have to look at S2 for Normal distribution questions.
- For Mechanics - you should be able to do all of M1 (but these don't test moments or coefficient of friction)
Madas has produced papers for the current specification - these can be great practice and have solutions but they do get difficult:
- Madas Single Pure Papers
- Madas Mechanics and Stats Papers - but some questions go beyond what you need to be able to do.
